Hailing from Ipswich, Suffolk (UK), Matt Catling, a.k.a. Under the Sun, entered the music scene in early 2020 and immediately gained some attention through radio airplay on stations such as BBC Introducing, Rave Down on Future Radio, DKFM shoegaze radio.

Under the Sun's musical influences fall between My Bloody Valentine, Jesu, Portishead, Boards of Canada, Seefeel, Flying Saucer Attack, and The Telescopes.

Under The Sun has played around East Anglia and London, including some appearances at the Woodbridge Ambient, Norwich Psych Fest and Other Side Promotions 2022 Shoegaze Alldayer, sharing stages with Andy Bell (RIDE), bdrmm, Secret Shine, Magic Shoppe, Codex Serafini among others.
