Melting dark 80s synthwave, shoegaze and ethereal vibes seamlessly under Dani Mari’s glittery vocals, Violentene gives you an ode to innocence lost.

Roland brings an early 80s synth and new wave influence from Japan, Gary Numan, and Cocteau Twins and the guitar shimmer of Johnny Marr and Robert Smith to the mix, while Dani Mari wraps her bittersweet vocals around an earthy organic tone.

Both bring a long musical history to the band – Dani Mari with Primitive Heart, Female Frequency and many guest appearances with other artists, while Roland has a history as a multi-instrumentalist and producer with popular Canadian electro acts Liquified and Politique. He has also written and scored for film, TV and media since the 2000’s.

For fans of Drab Majesty, The Cure, Ladytron and Cocteau Twins.
